Care of Masks

The masks are designed to be worn comfortably. They are also pieces of art and make beautiful wall decorations. Each mask has a loop in back so it may be hung.

To dust the mask, take it off the hook and shake gently. You can use a slightly damp cloth and wipe the mask along the growth of the feathers. The same technique works with leather masks and Venetian papier-mache masks.

Like any fiber product (wool, a quilt, etc.) feathers can be damaged by insects. If you have moths, it is just as easy to frame the masks in a shatter box. This makes an attractive display and protects the art work from damage.
